Yes. Odoo ships with Arabic as a standard language, including a right-to-left interface, and supports running multiple languages in the same database — your finance team can work in English while sales staff work in Arabic, and each customer receives documents in their own language. Invoices, quotations and reports can be issued bilingually.

Yes. Odoo’s report engine supports right-to-left rendering and per-partner language, so an invoice prints in Arabic for a local customer and English for an export customer from the same template. Where a tax authority mandates a specific layout — an Arabic tax invoice with prescribed fields, for example — the template is adapted to that layout as part of the localisation work.

Odoo publishes fiscal localization packages — chart of accounts, tax structure, statutory reports and, where applicable, e-invoicing — for Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan and Oman, alongside African packages including Kenya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and others. Yes. Odoo’s Saudi Arabia e-invoicing module supports ZATCA Phase 2 (Fatoora) — the clearance model for B2B invoices and QR-coded simplified invoices for B2C — with onboarding through ZATCA’s sandbox, simulation and production environments, and structured API responses for cleared, warned or rejected documents. Configuration of the taxpayer’s certificates, devices and invoice fields is part of the implementation.

Yes. The UAE localization package provides the local chart of accounts and the VAT structure — the 5% standard rate, zero-rated supplies, exempt supplies and the reverse-charge mechanism for imports — and produces the VAT 201 return data aligned with Federal Tax Authority requirements. Corporate tax reporting is configured on top of that chart of accounts.

Yes. Odoo ships an Egyptian localization covering the local chart of accounts, tax structure and integration with the Egyptian Tax Authority’s e-invoicing platform, including the signing and submission flow for electronic documents. As with any e-invoicing regime, the taxpayer’s registration, certificates and item coding have to be configured correctly before submission works.

Odoo does not ship a Lebanon-specific fiscal localization package the way it does for Saudi Arabia or the UAE. Lebanese compliance — the local chart of accounts, VAT treatment, Ministry of Finance income-tax declarations, NSSF contributions and dual-currency reporting — is delivered through localisation modules built by partners. Through our Lebanese payroll localisation, yes. It calculates NSSF contributions for sickness and maternity, family allowances and end-of-service indemnity, applies the current ceilings, and generates the monthly declarations. It also produces the Ministry of Finance income-tax declarations, monthly and annually, using the progressive Lebanese brackets with dependents and allowances applied per employee.

Yes. Our Lebanese payroll localisation processes salaries in Lebanese pounds and US dollars in the same payroll run, produces dual-currency payslips, applies the relevant exchange rate handling, and calculates tax and NSSF correctly per currency. That is a hard requirement in Lebanon and one that generic payroll software does not meet.

Odoo supports a company currency plus unlimited foreign currencies, with rates entered manually, imported on a schedule from a rate provider, or set per transaction. It posts realised and unrealised exchange differences automatically and can report in a second currency. In markets with parallel or rapidly moving rates, the practical work is deciding the rate policy — which rate applies to which document type — and enforcing it consistently.

Odoo’s payroll engine supports country-specific salary rules, contribution ceilings and bank file formats, and Gulf requirements such as GOSI contributions and Wage Protection System salary files are delivered through localisation configuration and modules rather than being switched on by default. The output is a compliant WPS file your bank accepts and correct GOSI calculations per employee category.
