Odoo Reporting lets you analyze the data in every Odoo app with graphs and pivot tables, and run full financial reports in Accounting. AzkaTech sets it up around the questions your managers actually ask.

The short answer
Odoo Reporting is the set of tools Odoo uses to turn the records in its apps into numbers you can act on. Most apps have a Reporting menu where you filter the records you need and show them as a graph or a pivot table. The Accounting app adds ready financial reports, such as the balance sheet and profit and loss.
Features
The same few tools work in almost every Odoo app. Once your team learns them in Sales, they can use them in Inventory or Purchase too.
Bar, line and pie charts of any report. Bar and line charts can be stacked, and line charts can show a running total.
Spot trends over months and compare categories at a glance.
Break numbers down by rows and columns, add sub-groups, flip the axes and sort by any measure.
Answer questions like sales by salesperson and month in one table.
Pick what to add up, keep only the records you need, and group them by any field, like date or customer.
The same report answers many questions without building a new one.
Financial reports have a Comparison filter that puts periods side by side.
See this quarter against last quarter, or this year against last year.
Export financial reports to PDF or XLSX, and download any pivot table as an Excel file.
Share figures with your auditor or bank in the format they ask for.
Insert a pivot or graph into Odoo Spreadsheet and build dashboards on live data.
Managers get one screen with the numbers they check every week.

Across your apps
Each app has its own Reporting menu. The data you can analyze depends on the app and on how it is configured, so here is what to expect in the main ones.
| App | What you can analyze | Typical measures |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | Sales Analysis by order date, salesperson, customer or product category | Untaxed total, quantity, margin, count |
| Invoicing and Accounting | Invoice analysis, financial reports, analytic reports by project or department | Amounts by invoice date, balances, aging |
| Purchase | Purchase analysis by vendor, product or month | Ordered and received quantities, amounts |
| Inventory | Stock levels and stock moves by warehouse, location or product | Quantity on hand, stock value when valuation is on |
| CRM | Pipeline and leads analysis by stage, salesperson or source | Expected revenue, days to close, count |
| Project | Task analysis by project, stage, assignee or deadline | Allocated time and time spent with Timesheets, count |
Measures are always number fields, plus a Count of records. By default most reports are grouped by month. Exact measures differ by app and by the options you turn on.
Real questions
