Group Permissions on Actions- Odoo Apps
This Odoo action permission restrict access to actions by security group.
Prevent users who don't have the selected groups from accessing the actions.
Checkout below step-by-step guide:
Process:
-Hide Contact Menu for non administrator.
-Add administrator security groups to Contact Window Action.
-NOTE: make sure that the group has an External ID (known as XML ID too). You can create external ID via export for update. To verify external view the group in form view and press on debug menu and “View Metadata”. It is named XML ID
-Remove user ‘Marc Demo’ from administrator groups.
-Log in with user ‘Marc Demo’ and try to access Contact app via pasting URL, An access denied error is raised preventing the user to execute this action.
